ACM Announce Plans For 'New Artist Of The Year' At ACM Awards

The ACM (ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC) and GAC announced today that for the fourth consecutive year, the “New Artist Of The Year” category at the 47th annual “ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS” will be based on fan voting.

The ACMs combined all newcomer categories into one overall category, including “New Male Vocalist,” “New Female Vocalist,” “New Vocal Duo,” “New Vocal Group,” “New Solo Vocalist” and “New Vocal Duo or Group.” This year’s nominees are BRANTLEY GILBERT, HUNTER HAYES, JT HODGES, DAVID NAIL, JERROD NIEMANN, JUSTIN MOORE, SCOTTY McCREERY, and THOMPSON SQUARE.

Voting will begin on MONDAY JANUARY 16th at www.VoteACM.com and www.GACtv.com/ACM.
