Headwaters Country Jam honors heroes

Headwaters Country Jam is partnering with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation to recognize “heroes.”

Once again, on Friday June 29, the Country Jam will honor the nation’s service men and women, and this year Country Jam is extending that recognition to include police, fire fighters and EMT heroes. Specially honored will be fallen Montana Highway Patrol Officer David DeLaittre.

DeLaittre, the youngest MHP officer to be killed in the line of duty, was from Three Forks and lost his life on Dec. 1, 2010, during what should have been a routine traffic stop. Money to build a memorial park at the site of the tragedy will be raised in part at the Country Jam with a raffle. Tickets will be sold at the Patty Wagon and can be purchased at many Three Forks businesses. A complete list of raffle items can be found on Country Jam’s website under the Real Heroes link.

Country artists Aaron Tippin, The Kentucky Headhunters and JT Hodges will highlight Friday’s Hero night.
Purchase tickets online at www.headwaterscountryjam.com or at The Cash Dollar (Three Forks), Magic Diamond Casino (Belgrade) or Lucky Lil’s on Main (Bozeman).
