Earlier this summer JT Hodges made country headlines with his debut single.

The song, Hunt You Down, was one of the stories of the year. Now, JT is looking to make it a little further up the charts with his new song for 2012. Here is the hot new single, Goodbyes Made You Mine by JT Hodges.

The thing with JT Hodges is that his music is unique. This track, Goodbyes Made You Mine, moves along fast at the beginning. The lyrics and the pacing are catchy. The song is like nothing else you’ll hear on country radio right now and I think people will appreciate it for that.

In country music it usually takes something a little different to make some noise in the ranks. A new artist needs something that sets them apart. They can’t sound like anyone else and JT Hodges is certainly his own artist. He’s different and I think people are slowly coming around to the music he’s making.

On top of being different it’s most important to have good songs. Goodbyes Made You Mine is a good country song. The melody is catchy. The lyrics hit home for anyone that’s fought for someone and trusted that in the end they would end up with the person they love. It’s a good song and one that I think has a chance on the charts.

JT Hodges made it to the top 40 the first time out with Hunt You Down. This time I think he’ll make the top 30 with Goodbyes Made You Mine. It seems like he’s got the support of his label (Toby Keith’s label) and I think they’ll work to get this song up the charts.

JT has the voice and the talent to make a good career in country music. He’s different and people that sound different aren’t always accepted right away. I think in a couple years we could be looking back on this artist and wondering why it took some time for him to become a recognized artist in country.

It’s exciting to think of the music coming up on JT’s debut album, but until we hear them all we can enjoy Goodbyes Made You Mine.
